Othello: Summary William Shakespeare wrote Othello in 1604. The characters that were in the play was Othello, a black Moorish general in Venetian army, Desdemona , a venatian lady, Barbantio, a venetian senator fathe of Desdemona, Iago thello, standard-bearer,Roderigo, a Venetian gentleman, In Act 1 Othello and Desdemona got married as union of opposite. In act it also show that Iago and Barbantio dislike othello. Othello wants to be a succesful in his military accomplishement and his life.
