Ian Fleming is said to be one of the best writers to come out of England. He was born on May 28, 1908. His love for adventure was attributed to his brother the traveler and co-author Peter Fleming. He served during WWII as an assistant to the director of Navel Intelligence with the rank of commander. During this time he was very much like the legendary character, he created agent 007 James Bond of the British Secret Service. After the Navy in 1953, he wrote Casino Royal. Many Bond books were created after this best seller.
