Hamlet Loyalty and betrayal are two major traits in the story of Hamlet. The character who sticks out the most is Claudius; he is quite the scumbag. Starting with his little flings with the queen, who just happens to be his brothers' wife, which seems a little gross in the first place? But his nasty deeds didn't end there.
