Alcohol Use Among Teens and Young Adults Alcohol use among teens and young adults is a very serious problem plaguing the United States today. More and more teens are introduced to the use of alcohol at exceedingly younger ages. This is a growing problem that is having to be combated in various ways. Another very serious problem connected to alcoholism is binge drinking. Binge drinking is defined as consuming the equivalent of five drinks in a row for men, or four for women.
