Changing Undesirable Behaviors The purpose of this paper was to establish a baseline of an undesirable behavior and develop a modification program to help reduce or eliminate the behavior. Various motivations and cues were observed to help devise a training agenda more effectively. METHOD The subject for this project was an indoor cat who felt the need to escape from the owners house every time a door was opened. Observations were made of the subject for a period of four days. This was done to determine the number of times the cat would actually escape every time the door was opened while no type of reinforcement to remain inside was given. An even number of
