A Few Media Commandments The First Amendment of the Constitution states that, “Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech or of the press”. It is precisely this lack of governmental control that allows for misuse of this freedom. As a result the media needs to police its own actions in accordance with morals and ethics.
