Search & Seizure In The Context Of Automobiles The Fourth Amendment of the United States Constitution prohibits the unreasonable search and seizure of the individual or his property unless probable cause for the search is demonstrated. "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses and effects against unreasonable search and seizure shall not be violated and no warrant shall issue, but upon probable cause supported by oath or affirmation and particularly describing the place to be searched and the person or things to be seized."
