Autobiographical Assignment: My Grandfather My grandfather was shipped out in December 1941 and severed in the Air Force during World War II. He left my grandmother by herself to raise a child under the help of her parents' shelter and emotional help, and he would send his check he received from the Air Force. It was not common for my grandmother and for women in the mid 1940's to work and leave their children behind. After my grandfather returned from WWII, he was able to see his wife and his three-year-old son (whom he had never seen before). Prior to my grandma's marriage, after college, she started in the family business. She wo
