Succeeding Through Others Most managers and supervisors have heard about delegation. We have read about it. We know that it is important for supervisors to practice. But, like many of the skills presented in classes and seminars, very few managers or supervisors take the time to study and practice how to be an effective delegator. The most appalling thought about delegation is that when you delegate something you are putting your reputation and your career path in the hands of other people. And, they could damage you if they are not the right people, if you have not trained them properly, or if you fail to delegate properly. The concept of delegati
