Escaping Harlem The story “Sonny’s Blues”, by James Baldwin, is about two brothers who find themselves to have grown apart over the years. Sonny’s brother finally learns about his brother’s whereabouts one day while reading the newspaper. His brother had been arrested in a drug sting.
