History of the Internet This paper will prove the government's need for a new form of communication, which was a direct result of the cold war culture of the 1950's. The mechanism that afforded the ability to create such a vast global network was a direct result of a major policy maker of World War II. This paper will also prove the evolution of email by research scientists, which introduced a new social medium that significantly increased the number of people who used it.
