The Arena Football League The NFL’s upstart competition is considerably different. The AFL’s fan base is relatively small. There has been only one “superstar” to come out of the Arena Football League. That player is Kurt Warner of the St. Louis Rams. No one had really heard much of him or the league until this year when Kurt Warner and the St. Louis Rams busted onto the scene.
